David and Margaret were married for 43 years and lived in Winchester since 1974. Sadly Margaret passed away in 2011. Their two children, Tim and Caroline were born and brought up in Winchester. Tim is now living and working in Winchester where he is a Partner in a firm of Actuaries. Caroline is now married and living and working in Cape Town where she is an Engineer with Ove Arup, Consulting Engineers.
David retired from his job as City Engineer for Winchester in 2002.
He now does some voluntary work for Citizens Advice, the City of Winchester Trust and the National Motor Museum Trust at Beaulieu.
David is an active member of the Winchester MG Owners Club which runs social events for local MG owners. He has owned a 1957 MGA for over 20 years and until recently also owned a splendid Jaguar XJS convertible.
As a family we are interested in our family history and can trace back many generations of the Marklew and Edmonds families.
